The PWHL’s venue model combines established home arenas in its six core markets with an aggressive neutral-site strategy. Boston, Montréal, Ottawa, Toronto, New York, and Minnesota anchor the league’s regular schedule, each playing in established collegiate or professional arenas suited to growing demand. The league has also expanded its reach through its “Takeover Tour,” which has drawn strong attendance in major NHL buildings across North America. Cities such as Detroit and Denver have delivered record-setting crowds, signaling market readiness for larger women’s hockey events and reinforcing the league’s ability to secure top-tier facilities.

Looking forward, the league is accelerating its venue expansion through both new franchises and a wider neutral-site footprint.
